Paul A. Young ~ Chocolate Afternoon Tea

I do get invited to some lovely events. The downside to this is the travel cost involved. My senior rail card ( Leeds to London) has certainly taken a battering these last few years, but the upside to this are the reward points that I earn on East Coast Rail Travel, which has given me and my best friend, 2 First Class return tickets to London when we visit the Chelsea Flower Show in May. Big smiles.

But hey ho. Sometimes, depending on the invitation, it’s worth the travel. This one came via Nudge PR. I love a good afternoon tea and this was different from the usual Afternoon Tea of scones with jam and cream. This had scones with Salted Caramel Sauce and Clotted Cream. Drool over the pictures and for those of you looking for something different to try in your menu, take a look at Paul’s. Don’t be put off by the thoughts of Cucumber and Chocolate Sandwiches, Paul had the balance just right IMO.

I bumped in to some lovely people for a good old natter and ‘Chin Wag’ as one person put it on Twitter. One of the really nice things about going to these events are the people I meet and the contacts I make. Networking as it’s called.
